FAQ

Can I remove the Bats myself?

No, you cannot remove bats by yourself. Bats are state and federally protected. You can not manually remove the bats according to those guidelines. The only time the bats can be touched is if the bat is in a habitable living space.

If you see a bat in your living space, call a professional like Alpha Wildlife immediately. We will ensure the bat is removed and your home inspected to ensure there are no more bats.

Safety First: Bats can carry diseases like rabies, so it’s important to avoid direct contact with them.

Legal Protection: Bats are protected by law. It’s illegal to harm or kill bats, so you need to be careful about who you trust to rid your home of bats.

Proper Timing: The best time to remove bats is in late summer or early fall when young bats can fly. Removing them during the breeding season might separate mothers from their babies, leaving the young ones to die.

Use One-Way Exclusion Devices: These are special devices you can install at the bats’ entry points. They allow bats to leave but prevent them from coming back in. Make sure to seal all other entry points.

Professional Help: It’s best to call Alpha Wildlife removal. We have the experience and tools to safely and legally remove bats.
